Welcome to Almost the Broomhill Festival 2020! 

The theme for this year’s Festival was going to be Change for the Climate. Although we are not able to put on any live events we are online in our usual slot from 12-21 June.
During this time you can:

Enter our competitions ( see tab for details) 
 The closing date for Danuta Kot’s Crime Writing competition has been extended to 19 June. – you still have time to produce a prizewinning story!
Our Children’s Art competition has begun (closing date also 19 June).  Watch the windows of Broomhill Community Library to see a gallery of the entries from 21 June.

By the Book Theatre Company usually stage a play in a day. This time they’ve had a couple of hours… From 7pm on Friday 19 June you can watch EVERYBODY’S OSCAR, a play specially written for actors in lockdown,  exclusively on this website.
